HOTEL GOAN HERITAGE AND ITS USELESS BOARD.

It is now evident after reading the write-up yesterday in this forum disclosing the arrogance of the Board of Gulf Goans Hotels Co. Ltd., in unnecessarily wasting company’s money in the office at Panjim.  By losing so much money the Board is responsible for wasting huge amount thereby denying the Shareholders larger amount of dividends.  It is once again proved that the current Board headed by the Chairman Justino Fernandes is unfit to run the show.

When such injustice is done I cannot understand why intelligent members in the Board are keeping silence.  Or there is not a single intelligent member in the Board?  In this case, are all the members idiots?

That both the Kuwait based Harward educated economist directors are useless to contribute anything worthwhile is now proved beyond any doubt.  What is their role in the Board on this topic? Are they both treated with respect in the Board or as unwanted?  Do they have a say in any decision making or they are considered as a burden on the Board? According to one source they are both non entities.  Hence, it is better not to expect anything good from both the idiots.

FOR HOTEL GOAN HERITAGE SHAREHOLDERS REVIEW & MAINLY OF 2 KUWAIT BASED DONKEYS.

Dear Shareholders of GULF GOANS HOTELS CO. LTD.,

This is to highlight the fact that our Company's registered office is still functioning from Panjim while our hotel operations and the related activities  are going on in Calangute.

Being in hospitality business for better governance, administration, for exercising effective controls, to further enhance the standard of our services  and for monitoring  all the aspects of the hotel operations such as pilferage, overcharging, wastages etc. you all had proposed in 2011 AGM to shift our registered office from Panjim to Calangute in hotel premises.

In that AGM  our chairman  had not only agreed to initiate  the necessary legal  process but even assured to shift the registered Office within 6 months further adding that he presently functions 3 times in a week in Calangute and 3 times in Panjim.  Consequently  Panjim office will either be given on lease or sold upright exercising better option.  Regrettably what was decided and agreed in that AGM till today stands belied.

Based on survey conducted through authentic channels we can expect to get monthly lease of  about Rs.80,000/- if our Panjim Office is given on lease which means additional yearly  income generation of about Rs.9,60,000/- besides saving/reducing  additional expenses such as pilferage, unwarranted consumptions,   wastage, manipulations etc estimated to be around  Rs.3 lacs per year.

In simple calculation keeping our Panjim Office since last 3 years, in contravention to  our resolution, we lost about Rs.37,80,000/- for 3 years. Are we continuing to keep Panjim office for no valid reason and drain our income in the future?

When we raised this issue highlighting additional benefits in recent Lok Adahalat with ROC  our management has given untenable and feeble replies stating shareholders convenience, to be accessible to Government offices and lack of space in hotel premises.  We repudiated that hardly any cases are there when shareholders have to come to the office in person and such cases can be attended by courier/post  that cases with Government Dept/banks can be handled by peon or junior level clerk instead of  whole staff and management to keep in Panjim further that there is enough space in hotel premises to accommodate the office besides one room of the hotel can be reserved for the Office since we have no 100 percent occupancy throughout the year.

In the light of foregoing it is high time for all the shareholders to review this matter with pragmatism or shall we continue to lose our huge revenues by keeping our Registered Office in Panjim for the benefit, glory  and orgy of few directors or review our plans for better results and efficiencies on all the fronts?

Please request the Board to shift the registered Office from Panjim to Calangute in hotel premises taking cue of all other hotels in Goa,  stating to complete required legal process and to save the company  of about Rs.37,80,000/- yearly besides unaccountable petrol expenses involved unnecessarily.

Yours Truly.

The Goa Su-Raj Party is overjoyed that the CHURCH in GOA has made it's final decision to back the Anti-Mopa agitation full force. With this commitment of the Church, it becomes clear that there will be no stones left unturned until this spurious MOPA Project is scrapped for good. It is heartening to see that the CHURCH has seen the writing on the wall,  that with the development of MOPA, the fate of Goa's Dabolim's centrally located Civilian Airport is doomed to hell with the invading Indian Navy landed with this feather in it's cap. With this decision of the CHURCH to join in the fight, the Navy will have no option left to it but to shut out it's 'SHAMING SECURITY OPERATIONS'  in GOA and make it's permanent home at Sea Bird, Karwar or in Belgaum. Needless to say that Goa Su-Raj Party was hungrily awaiting this bomb-shell and goes on to applaud  his Grace, Archbishop Felipe Neri Ferrao for putting renewed faith in the hearts of GOANS to continue the fight against MOPA to the finish, whether the Goa Government and/or the Central Government likes it or not. GOA must, and will,  have it's Civilian International Airport  at Dabolim ONLY, which was existing since 1955, unshared and independent of the Indian Navy's malafide encroachments.

As regards the 'THREATENING'  statement made by Ms. Alina Saldanha, Goa's  Minister for Forests and Environment, this Party discounts this statement  as something that had to be said in order to make GOANS aware that  'GMFSS' [GOA'S MOVEMENT FOR SPECIAL STATUS] actively sponsored by her for reasons only known to her is not in deep slumber when actually is. Besides, this threat to quit the BJP if it fails to grant demand after LS win, does not fool anyone. She very well knows that with NaMo  declared as BJP's Prime Ministerial Candidate for the 2014 LS elections, a veritable THREAT to the SECULAR CONSTITUTION  of India, BJP is going to find itself at the bottom and not at the top. This seemingly threatening statement is meant to ensure her continuance as Goa's Minister after the LS elections, affording her to CROW to tell GOANS  " I HAD MADE MY POSITION CLEAR ... DIDN'T I??"
