RETIREMENT OF LIONEL MESSI.

The retirement  of Lionel Messi from the Argentinian National Soccer Team is nothing but his frustration of kicking the penalty over the bar and not winning any major Trophy for his country like Maradona.  As a matter of fact, we must know one thing very well that Maradona was Maradona, he was the one man team capable of winning not only the match but the whole tournament.  In 1986 when he spearheaded the victory of Argentina in the World Cup, the great Bobby Charlton of victorious England team of 1966 World Cup said, “Argentina won because Argentina played with 12 players, that means, one Maradona is equal to two”.  His half a decade in Italy playing for Napoli  was the most glorious phase of his career and fortunately for me by being in Kuwait I was fortunate to watch his each and every game on Kuwait TV.  Messi cannot achieve what Maradona did achieve though he was very good according to the World current soccer standard.

Messi’s decision  to retire at this young age of 29 is wrong, there is lot of football stored in him  thru which he can still entertain the spectators and viewers all around the globe.  According to me he is the best player currently, better than Portuguese Ronaldo.  The way Messi sprints with the ball evading past a number of defenders is itself a big thriller.  Dribbling the ball at that high speed is not a joke and only Messi can do this.

Just because he kicked the penalty out he should not be so much disappointed so as to go into retirement.  The great Brazilian penalty experts Dr. Socrates and Zico and French Platini have also missed their penalties during the critical World Cup matches and yet they never retired in frustration.  However, we must thank Messi for not retiring from the Club level soccer that matters him the most, moneywise and famewise.

It must be noted here that the 3 greatest footballers of this planet were produced by Argentina, namely Alfred Di Stefano, Diogo Armando Maradona and Lionel Messi.  According to World soccer pundits, Alfredo Di Stefano stands taller than everyone, including the great Pele but since he played during different era with different circumstances, much of his shine remained unreached to the wider people.

REVOLUTION TIATRO IN MAPUSA.

Young Geremia renders opening solo

Today (26.06.16) at Mapusa, starting at 10.45 AM, the writer and director Irineu Gonsalves staged his Tiatro “REVOLUTION”,  it was an  “All Tickets sold out” attendance.

Tomy Afonso sings his political solo

In this Tiatro,  Irineu Gonsalves introduced to Konkani Stage the most precious  star in  Vishal Gawas whose hidden talent got erupted like a Volcano and its fame like Lava spread everywhere.  His role of a corrupt Minister was excellent and this role brought an extra colour to this already a colourful Tiatro.

A scene where Sheikh Ameer seen as CM

Equally excellent role in this Tiatro was played by Sheikh Ameer when he imitated in every respect the current CM Parsencar.  In talk, walk, dress and in every other manner he imitated Parsencar.  Kudos to Sheikh Ameer.

Another scene:Jessica-Tari-Sylvester

As usual, Tari, Sylvester Vaz, Jessica and Jeremia played their roles well though additionally Jessica was the centre of attraction with her beautiful looks and beautiful dress code.  She reminds us of the yesteryear’s beauties of Konkani Stage, namely Mohana, Ophelia, Violet, Antonete, Rita Rose and others.  Tari and Sylvester falls into the category of those giants of past decades who raised the standard of Konkani Stage, namely, Tony Sax, Valente Mascarenhas, Cyriaco Dias and many others.

                                             Anthony San singing his solo

The comedy part was beautifully handled by both the ace comedians Humbert and John D’Silva assisted by others.

Benny de Aldona on his solo

Side Show songs were good with encores, this time Tomy Afonso (Jr. Nelson)alsothundered like a Lion with his powerfull solo on Goan politics.

Another scene.  Middle seen is Vishal Gawas

Three special guests namely, Narvencar, Valmiki of “AAP” and Prabhakar Timble of newly formed Political Party “Goa Forward” were introduced to the audience and they in turn expressed their views in support of their Parties requesting the audience to bring about real Revolution. Timble’s speech was better appreciated by the audience.

A scene:Jess - Tar-Sylves

During the Interval the director of the Tiatro Irineu Gonsalves was felicitated with a traditional Shawl thru the hands of Timble.  Other three more were also felicitated including Sheikh Ameer for his excellent role as Goa’s CM in this Tiatro.

OPEN AND SINCERE REQUEST TO VIJAY SARDESAI.

Dear Vijay,

I am hundred percent certain that BJP is coming back to power and creating total disorder in Goa.  If you observe minutely, Parsencar is acting like a “DADA”, he does not care for public opinion and public sentiments.  It looks like Salazar’s blood is running in his veins.  He is undemocratic though got elected thru democratic process. It is not he only but the entire BJP clan is undemocratic though they  boast of democratic process that got them elected. They are very arrogant and adamant, they are acting like dictators without caring for public opinion.  To do what they want to do, they will go to any extent, their attitude is like “ULOIT TUJEM TOND ANI AIKOT MOJEM BON…  Such people are not fit to be the rulers, by all means they are to be uprooted.  Neither in Goa nor elsewhere in India, BJP will do nothing except implement its most hidden agenda,  that is, spread vigorously COMMUNALISM by putting fear into the minds of minorities and treating them as second class citizens as if Goa and India are their fathers property.

In order to put a full stop to their march towards Salarzarshahi, we all the non – BJP supporters of Goa will have to devise some methods to deny BJP one more Inning.  In this activity, Vijay, I feel you will have to play a major role like that of a match maker.

To defeat BJP in the coming election, all the opponents  of BJP must be brought together under one Umbrella so that one contender representing the opponents will contest the election against one BJP candidate,  this means one against the other.  In this case, all the votes against BJP will go to one contender only facing BJP.  In this case, the anti-BJP votes will be saved, unsplitted.

Now, Vijay, your role is coming in this picture and since as a revered politician as well as a Goa lover MLA in the Goa Legislative Assembly, you will have to co-ordinate by calling all the stalwarts of anti-BJP forces  and impress upon them the imperativeness of the alignment of like minded forces.  Since you wield good respect among all the Goan politicians, I feel you  will be able to sway the mood of the anti-BJP forces in your direction.  When this is done, I am certain BJP will never be able to re-capture power and hence that will be the end of BJP. In case anyone is against this method then declare openly so that we the supporters of good governance will boycott them in the next election.

The smooth march of BJP to the victory in 2017 should be broken by all means.  They should not be allowed to rule unhindered continuously otherwise they will become very powerful and power will reach to their heads making them MAD.  Once they attain the madness then they will act as SALAZARS – HITLERS – SADDAM HUSSEINS & IDI AMINS.  BJP is already in the making of all these whom I indicated.
