KNOW YOUR CANDOLIM CANDDATE.

An young man from Candolim Pintos Vaddo, the Vaddo that gave birth to those world renown persons like Abade Faria and  Pintos revolutionaries, Benedito Pinto  popularly known in the locality as Benso, is contesting the coming Panchayat election in Pintos Vaddo Ward No. 9  with a symbol of Almirah.

A known social worker having vast potential to do good for the village, vaddo and the locals. Because of this urge to work for others, he was appointed as Gen. Secretary of Goan Association-Delhi some years back when he was based in Delhi. Being a responsible man he knows to shoulder his given responsibilities to fulfill his obligations and precisely because of this, he was elected the president of the well known Candolim Mandd located in his Pintos Vaddo only.

His main and big specialty is to be of help to anyone and at that particular time he will forget his personal differences and assist the needy. People of this caliber are either rarity or non existing.

Accoridng to Benedito, he had great wish to do something for Pintos Vaddo and since this is the right opportunity to implement his wish, he opted to contest this election with the firm belief  that the people of his Ward No.9 will vote for him. As a matter of fact, Benedito strongly feel that people are supportive of his candidature and being so they will not let him down.

Being an Independent candidate, he is not obliged to do any favour for any candidate or any panel and in view of this, once elected he will apply his own independent mind for any issue arising in the Panchayat, said Benedito. Further, while applying his mind he said he will take the interest of my Ward and Candolim and do my maximum to provide better facilities to my Ward which was kept undeveloped during the last 2 decades.

ELECT GOOD CANDIDATES.

Panchayat election is fast approaching, at Araddy Vaddo in Candolim, it is become the citadel of Migrants and other low caliber Ghantis who made there their permanent residence. They have purchased there property and constructed posh houses and bungalows.  Many of these migrants who when first time came to this place, they did not have proper clothes to cover their bodies but today they are having not only posh clothes and posh houses but also posh Cars like Audi, Mercedes and Porsche.

Yesterday they came walking to Araddy as labourers but today some of them are become big contractors wielding strong money power that makes one from that area to contest the coming Panchayat election.  This man does not know anything of this village nor the area where he lives but he wants to be the leader of this area.  See the ambition of these migrants and Ghanttis when they are still in their infancy in our land. Most of them in their areas from where they are come are unknown entities and would not get any importance, they are neglected there but in Goa they want to be Czars.

Day by day, their numerical strength is increasing while ours is decreasing.  Most of them are hard and rough people having ‘SALA BANCHOT’ Culture. Their settlement at Araddy was the lop sided development, it was done abusively and unsystematically by those pimp type of local leaders who were ruling Candolim at that time.

With the physical and financial power of these non-Goans, I am afraid that shortly they may totally uproot the few locals residing in small hamlets like Araddy, from their ancestral places just as Jews did in Palestine for the local Palestinians and thus they established the Jewish State Israel.   The locals who were running the local Panchayat when these outsiders came to Araddy first time a few years back, should have curtailed their uninterrupted flow but they were idiots having no knowledge of running the village administration, they had very good knowledge to take bribe from these migrants and allow them verbal permission to construct their houses illegally in an unplanned manner.  What a pity it is that Candolim village with such a fabuluous past finally gone into the hands of ignorant Pimp type of local leaders who only indicated interest in amassing illicit wealth.

In this Araddy according to my information, there are some migrants who are given voting rights here in Candolim Goa but without cancelling their voting rights facility in their home States from where they came.  This job local Panchayat should have done as it is having the local leadership in its possession.  But who runs our Panchayat?  What is their caliber and intelligence.  There is a saying in Konkani, “Kharveank nhoi khuim ghorvam ani rendrank nhoi khuim Tarvam”. Just because Ladru is doing this, Pedru must also follow him?”. In the same way it is said “Ghoribancheam bhurgeank Pomburpechim festam konne sangleam?” “Har nachta mhontlear Ghanddoi nachlear zata?”

Hence, it is imperative that we elect the right candidates to run our Panchayats and not those who make fast money for them by taking bribes for providing Panchayat services and surely elect not those Ladru-Pedrus’ sons and daughters whose ambition is to act like Maharajas because they are suffering from ancestral inferiority complex.

CANDIDATES MUST DECLARE THEIR SOURCE OF INCOME.

It is a pity that the local politics of Panchayati Raj is gone into the hands of third class local politicians, among whom many are unfit even to be in the society. The way they talk and act it looks they are come from the herd and not from the human society. And once they are elected they think they are the kings and queens of this planet.  Then to show their power to the people only from their locality they wear the robes of Hitler. I have experienced this in my locality from the elected representatives coming from the family background of ladru – pedru because this class of people are devoid of character and discipline at home because their parents are backward.  

Being so, their parents are unable to teach discipline to them at home which means they act like wild animals thus victimizing the locals when they seek any assistance from the Panchayat. These rascals they think Panchayat is their fathers’ property to act like Hitlers. Good that they are only the local Panchas and not beyond that. These are the people who commit corruption and dadagiri in the Panchayat. Such persons should be voted out.

In my locality all the candidates tell that they will serve the locals very well once they are elected.  From the current and earlier elected representatives I have not seen much good and in future also I don’t expect anything good.  I saw in the past elected representatives went on rampant corruption thus accumulating enormous illicit wealth for them.  Otherwise they must openly declare the source of their income.  If they are real sons and daughters of their real fathers then they will declare this information openly. Otherwise they will prove who they are.
