BUSINESSMEN MUST PROVIDE JOBS FOR LOCALS. PART - II.

The vulgar and Sex Tourism that is under the promotion in Goa though however much in the closed door rooms, this  brngs a bad name to Goa. But who cares for the sanctity of Goa?  The big businessmen are ready to do anything to acquire money and more money, they don’t care whether the money they collect is legal or illegal for this reason they are called as Pimps. The top busnesmen like Tatas and Birlas and others are least bothered of our character, discipline and good behavior.   The busnessmen who landed in Goa with the initiative of development of  one of the economic sectors  was the Tourism sector and it was initated by the Taj Group of Hotels under the leadership of J.R.D. Tata.  In the late sixties Taj personnel discussed this matter with the locals to obtain the land for erecting the Taj Hotel and got the land on loan basis that is on LEASE for a long term and then the Taj commenced the preliminary work of the construction. I was a young man still studying but full of dynamism, in fact in whole of my locality there was no boy like me, courageous and fearless ready to pounce on any wild animal like Lion and Tiger leave aside human beings who had no courage to cross my pathway for the cause of poor people and physically I was well built and by seeing me only from a distance with an ulterior motive somebody would disappear from  my site. BESIDES I WAS  well groomed by the home discipline, I was always ready to oppose our local leaders from giving our village on platter to the top business houses in the name of tourism. I was very much loved by our villagers for whom along with my entire family members would do anything within our capacity.  During the discussions with the Taj the locals who were brought into the picture  were the local Panchyat and its Sarpanch, Communidade of Candolim in whose jurisdiction falls the village Sinquerim where the Taj wanted  to build their First 5 Star Hotel in Goa to cateer to the requirements of 5 Star  TOURISTS from all around the Globe. While the negotiations were going on between the Taj personnel and our local leaders, the tourism was developing in Goa on its own and at a faster pace independently of any assistance from the Government, in the early stages there was no hand of the government in the promotion of tourism in Goa, the role of Government in the tourism development in Goa especially in the beginning is either nothing or minimal even though the Governmen is trying to take the credit for developing and flourishing in its output.  It is the old ‘Garamae and Garapae’ who without knowing any language other than the Konkani promoted the  Tourism in Goa and the entire clientele of Hippies patronized this Tourism in Goa.  Hence government must shut its mouth instead of taking cheap credit for the starting and developing the tourism in Goa.  The promotion of Tourism among the Western Tourists, Hippies created a strong impact in the lower strata segment of  GOANS that locals started making good money by renting their houses to the Hippies. 

 

When the Hippies started coming to Goa? First Hippy culture I saw in Goa was in my village Candolim somewhere in 1963-4.  The first Hippies to come to Goa was a young couple, a male and female  from the West, they came to Candolim where they spent their nights sleelping in the Marathi Xalla (School) outside in the Entrance (Bolcao) and during the daytime they this Western couple who was  fluent in English  spent their time on the Candolim Beach.  After spending the first season they again came to Goa in the next season and spent  the second season in the similar manner as they did in the first season but this time  they were accompanied by one more couple.  In the third season they came in more numbers who gradually migrated to Calangute where they became famous for various reasons. Later on in the late  sixties very many accompanied them thereby swelling their number they gained the  goodwill of the citizens of Anjuna, Chapora and elsewhere and made their dwellings there too and made it very comfortable.  Then there was no hurdle on their way in doing anything for them and according to one British Hippie speaking to this writer said that India is the worst corrupt country  and since sadly Goa being one of the States of India, Goa also got this Tag  attached to it as corrupt State.  According to those Hippies  Indian Police force    is the most hard,  most corrupt and the most ignorant.

In the early sixties after its very unprincipled and brutal invasion of Goa by Bharat against the wishes of overwhelming majority of Goans not only residing in Goa but also in the other parts of the world because of which Indian Premier Jawaharal Nehru came into heavy criticism from all around the Globe by the then existing World leaders including that from the American President John F. Kennedy when there was wonderful honey-moon going on between India and USA and mainly between the two leaders of both these two States, Kennedy and Nehru. And on top of it, the invasion of Goa was wrongly interpreted as Liberation which is not a correct term.  How much we in Goa are liberated? Is it a liberation India got for us from the Portuguese or did India impose another invasion on us the Goans in the name of liberation?  In a case that was  going on in the Supreme Court of India, in its landmark judgement in this case fought between the mini sized Priest from Candolim Pe. Chico Monteiro as he was called by everyone instead of Monsg. Monteiro  fighting the case with the mighty and gigantic sized India, the Supreme Court of India said that on 19th December 1961 Goa was conquered by Bharat. Nowhere the apex Court used the word liberation.  In view of this I would like to know from where the term Conquered came and who introduced it and for what  reason?  Further let us see one more Monseignuer Philip Neri Mendonca popularly known as Fr. Mendonca and who was the Principal of the first English High School of Goa, St. Joseph's High School Arpora, Bardez, During those days when he served that School at Arpora as its Principal for about 35 years with highest respect from every segment of Goan society and highest dignity who then was known as the highly intelligent and highly educated enjoying the highest respect from the Portuguese Government in Goa and he was the first Goan from Goa after 19.12.61 to get the National Award from the President of India in New Delhi, Dr. Radhakrishnan, for being the best educationist. A week after 19.12.61 when all the Schools re-started after India grabbed Goa, said Fr. Mendonca to the students that Goa on 19th of this month was  invaded and NOT LIBERATED.   

When India fought a deadly war with Pakistan in East Pakistan for the liberation of East Pakistan, India did the right thing by handing over the conquered East Pakistan which was known as Bangladesh into the hands of Bangladeshis. Similarly when India with its mighty and powerfully Military of about 20 thousands personnel marched over my virgin Goa where against the approximately 5 thousands Portuguese Military personnel grabbed GOA  and like Bangladesh was rightly given by India to the legal heir that is to the Goans then INDIA  would be hailed all over the World as the real liberator of the suppressed countries. If India had to do the same for Goa the image of India would have reached to the pedestal and in this case, India would have been hailed as the Champion of LIBERATION of Goa. But no, India with its ulterior motive made Goa and Goans again as the subordinate to Bahrat while earlier Goa was subordinate to Portugal. India is known to amass more and more land from other countries and wants to be a big "Bhattkar".THE latest subordination 'was more drastic, more cruel, more inhuman because it was initiated by the  hard hearted Bharatis who culturally and historically are very primitive while we Goans are far advanced which not a single Bharati can bear to see. We know how to eat and dress and mix up in metropolitan segment because we can fit in any society  at anytime and because of this the entire non-Goan community feel jealous and this they will never give up.  Non-Goan Indians will always try to put us down and in order to woo towards them they can count only on our Goan communal Hindus who wrongly dub us the Goan Christians as pro-Portuguez further saying we Christians during the Portuguez rule in Goa enjoyed better facilities while Hndus were dicriminated. All Balls, this is the worst blasphemous statement, I being a Christian I received no preferential treatment from the Portugues on  the contrary the top crorepotis who earned preferential treatment  in doing their business were all Hindus. All the top Mining Businessmen are Hindus, there is not a single D'Souza, Fernandes, Mascharenhas, Dias and others in this business.  In fact the entire commercial sector during the Portuguese rule in Goa including that of  Mining industry was into the hands of Hindus only, the Salgaocars, Dempos, Bandodcars and others were enjoying like kings because of the preferential treatment the Portuguez Government gave to them. If Christians have come up in life and are prosperous, it was only because they found out ways for them to swim to any Ocean for better dividends. To do this they have made lot of sacrifices.  Dont simply accuse Christians for being pro-Portuguez, the greatest Goan Freedom Fighters who fought to liberate Goa were Goan Chistians, their sacrifices towards their land Goa were  enormous, those  who worked hard to keep the separate identity of Goa were Goan Christians who in totality voted in the Opinion Poll held first time in  the history of India, for the separate identity of Goa and NOT TO MERGE GOA WITH MAHARASTRA.  THOSE SO CALLED Goans who voted for the merger of Goa  with Maharastra will never cooperate and support those genuine Goans who want to create better Goa  for the future generations.  They  have sickness of the desease that "considers everyone not supporting Goa to be a Hindu bastion are anti Indian".  They talk as if Goa is their fathers property.  They are a big hurdle for the development of Goa because our enemy is within ourselves whose real enemy is the opposite member of their community member. 

It was said that the leaders of India sitting in Delhi analysed the whole structure of Goans and from their character during the 451 years of Portuguese rule and during that period their rigid discipline they imparted to Goans thus making Goans as cowards feeling afraid of taking any bold decisions and secondly the Christian religious discipline that  if you are slapped on your one cheek you give him your other cheek too. In this way Goenkar that is genuine Goenkar became frightened and cowards capable of becoming only the subordinates to somebody.  This upbringing of Goankars made them lazy and thus came to to be known as “lazy culture and lazy system”.

 

Once from Goa the Portuguese were ousted by closing the colonial rule,  non-Goan business magnates decided to get a foothold in Goa for developing and running their businesses giving top priority for Tourism relying on beaches only namely calangute – candolim –baga – anjuna – Chapora – Colva – Betalbatim and elsewhrere.  Other than this tourists attraction what else is there in Goa?  Only “SORO” that turns you into a “Bebdo” and that gives a very bad name to Goa.  And the recently started tourism of “SEX” in the desguise manner which will surely bring disgrace on Goa and Goans especially those Goans who are silently watching the sinfull activitiest of illicit and commercial sex without uttering a single word to oppose this sinful Sex Tourism..  I have seen in many parts of the World including in he Middle East where countries after countries collapsed like Pack of Cards. Do I have to mention the name of beautiful country Lebanon?  That was punished by the wrath of  God for being involved in the scandalous Sex orgies thus bringing a woman into the rank of an Animal. It should be noted well that the woman who voluntarily or involuntarily indulges into selling sex she converts herself into a worst animal, worst slave and in one word the worst shameless creature.

EYE FOR AN EYE - TOTH FOR TOOTH.

 

  When Saddam Hussein the cruel leader of Iraq invaded Kuwait on 2^nd August 1990, the British Premier Margareth Tatcher issued an statement against Saddam Hussein saying  with her powerful voice with anger, ”he is a Monster, a Despot, a BARBARIAN AND a Hitler”. The moment she got this news of the invasion of Kuwait exactly the way our Goa was invaded by the so called champion of Democracy and Freedom of course under the fake democrat and the shameless leader of Bharat  Jawaharlal Nehru, some world leaders expressed their deslike of India for such a harsh action. The entire World with the exception of a few fit to be our Panchayats and not the actual nations (States) supported Kuwait in  demanding the liberation for Kuwait.

 

 THE WORLD body the UNO and World leaders started condemning Saddam Hussein very badly, Saddam Hussein started losing his respect and dignity and to do the  damage control process for the invasion of  Kuwait, he chose as the best weapon to counter his adversaries, the Code of Hamurabi that was the first Code  of this planet made  in ancient Mesopotamia by the ancient King  Hamurabi.  By citing this Code he called upon the World not to call Iraqi people as backward and further saying that In the history of this planet Iraq getting  top position because it has created the first Code of this planet and that was  given to the World.  What is that Code?

 

It was the collection of 282 Laws formed  by the best of legal luminaries existing at that time in the richly developed land called Babylonia and its purpose then was to have some system for everyone to live peacefully without creating others any inconvenience thereby giving priority for morality.  On one fine morning, on the banks of River Tigris a few Iraqi women removed their Sarees or their dresses and made a sort of fence for them to have bath in the river, totally nude. While they were having the bath and enjoying it nicely, one Romeo type of young man while passing that side, he heard some noise of women. Having got his curiosity aroused, he went closer to the fence and made a hole īn ōne ōf  their dresses and putting his one eye into that hole, he happily started watching them. From nowhere behind his back a security man came and caught him by his neck and took him to the King Hamurabi who when questioning him and security man, passed a verdict “TO REMOVE HIS EYE Thru which he was watching those nude women having bath.  Hence, the Code came to be known as “Eye for an eye and Tooth for Tooth.

 

However, the law had strong drawback that when any wrong doer or criminal is brought to the king with the wrong accusation then the same sentence is Passed against the ACCUSER. 

 

THERE IS an ongoing debate among us saying taking law into our own hands is the solution for all the ills committed by our people while others say that it is not  correct to take law into our hands  without sanctioning by judicial consent and still there is one more opinion which is still keeping its way  OPEN where it thinks they are correct and that option is the very appropriate one for all the ills of our society and what iS that?  That is  the doctrine of Cristianity which says “eye for an eye and tooth for tooth is not the solution for our ills. 

When the American Civil Rightist MARTIN LUTHER when told that his house has been stoned by the rowdies from his locality because he preached his one of the most powerful sermons in the Montgomery Church where as a Baptist preacher, he spoke against the Apartheid that annoyed the Whites. During the last so many years so many renown preachers came but never  a  preacher of the caliber of Martin Luther came and spoke thus:’facing to the Whites who by virtue of being WhiTES were given the Previllege Of sitting towards the right AND THE OTHERS LIKE BLACKS WERE GIVEN THE  DISCRIMNATORY SEATS TO THE LEFT. dURING THAT TIME MARTIN LUTHER was extremely busy in preparing for his PHD AND WHEN HE STARTED HE STARTED THUS: Pointing out to the Whites said’ My dear brothers  and sisters, there is discrimination going on in this very Church in front of us and we are practicing this discrimination      here just below our nose and yet we adore Christ and by practicing this type  of discrimination we hurt and insult JESUS CHRIST because by acting thus discriminatory we give our impression that we are not ready to associate with Blacks and further saying to the Whites pointing out his finger towards the Whites that is referring to the White: ‘if you cannot integrate with the masses pointing out to the Blacks then  you will never integrate  with Christ because Christ is come from the masses”.

 

This was the spark lighted by Martin Luther  that  when he came home he saw his supporters ready with big Sticks to finish the White miscreants but Luther said by pacifying their  anger “down with your Sticks, no violence, violence will get violence. Let us depart from here as friends and no more violence. Otherwise what WILL BE THE OUTCOME?  Very bad with innumerable deaths.
