Re: Ex Kuwait Goan - Leo the Magician - Expired in Bombay.
Most of us have known Leo Fernandes as Leo the Magician and others knew him as a very good friend, humble and very soft spoken and a very friendly person always in his appeasing smile. Well, the sad news about Leo is he is no more. He had been operated since last 4-5 days for some intestinal problem. As per source it was successful but in a day or two he became serious and went into coma. He was not responding to medication it seems. He breathed his last early this morning leaving his family, relatives and friends shocked.
May God grant his soul Eternal Peace.

We are deeply shocked and saddened to hear the sad news of Leo's untimely demise. Truly he has left us all shocked and makes it very difficult for us to believe that Leo has left us.
Leo who is related to us was a wonderful person in the family, very polite, loving, caring and a very respectful human being. His association with us as a relative was very warm and friendly. He was a well know personality in Kuwait, very friendly and supported us well in our activities and just causes. Individuals with whom he associated will remember Leo always.
We convey our deepest heartfelt condolences to Bernie, their two daughters and rest of the family members, and pray for God’s strength to be bestowed upon them in these trying moments. We also pray that God Almighty grants eternal rest to the departed soul of Leo into His Kingdom of Heaven.

I was shocked to hear this news, Leo was my good friend and college (Bhavans/MVLU) mate as well as the college hockey team mate, we had many a good times together when in Bombay, used to meet him in Kuwait when I used to go there as an AI Crew member.
As we moved to New Zealand our contact got a bit less, last met him in mumbai in 2005,
We convey our deepest condolences to wife Bernie, daughters Leona and Linda also to his sister Trinidade and family. May his soul rest in peace.
