Abu Dhabi July 5, 2009: After a stupendous success of the Tiatr (drama) "Soglem Khuxeal" (Everyone is happy) in Dubai Al Nasr Leisurland on July 2nd 2009 the main actors comedy queen Janet and Filipe Almeida together with Shruti, Bushka, Pascoal Rodrigues, Ambe, Marcus Vaz, C D'Silva, Satyavan Tari, Aldair, Tony De Ribandar once again brought alive on stage the same show live in Abu Dhabi. Performing at the Abu Dhabi Folklore and Theatre Society on July 03, 2009 Friday evening, the actors entertained the audience with their exhilarating skits, dances, songs and performances.
They displayed Goa's rich cultural heritage with their lively dialogues, comedy, display of talents and wholesome entertainment. Lenoy Gomendes gave the background music and enhanced the outlook of this Goan Tiatr. Filipe Almeida the writer and director of this Tiatr has carefully created a niche between the lives of haves and have nots that exist in our society. He weaved a story around these two different classes and clearly shown what happens when two people from these two different stratas fall in love with each other. Do not buy a house for it's paint, instead look at the structure is one dialogue and message conveyed to the audience. The actors held the audience rapt with a mix of tragedy and humour with a happy ending - "Love finally conquers everything in its own mysterious way". Ivor D'Cunha a prominent personality among the Abu Dhabi Goan community compered the event with his sonorous voice and style. He conducted a game of "Bingo" and gave away prizes to the winners. Two well known personalities in Abu Dhabi Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and Sabina Fernandes were the main co-ordinators of this event. They were ably supported by Ready mix Abu Dhabi, Al Ansari Exchange, Shangai Surprise Chinese Restaurant (Capital Hotel), Haveli Restaurant, Al Sahil, Mauvin D'Silva, Philomen Lewis, Bernard Dias, Conrad Dias, Augusitine Ferrao, Isidore Vaz, James Mascarenhas, Lawrence D'Silva, Josephine, Antabona, Joe Fernandes, Jerry De Ribandar, Benny D'Costa, Rebello de Chincimim, Lyner Cardoza, friends and wellwishers. Raphael and Antony had played a key role in bringing the artists to UAE. The artists would now be performing in Bahrain, Kuwait and U.K in the forthcoming weeks. |
