One more new DVD is on sale in
Kuwait city which I purchased and just completed in watching it. This is of Anthony de Colva comprising 3
small Plays known as “Karnavalachea Zomnivelea Khellancheo Tin Partio”. These
three Skits are: (1) KONNAKUCH NAKA (2) MAKA INAM MEULO and (3) MOZO KHELL POLLOIAT ANI MAKA DUDDU
DIAT. They are all written, directed and
presented by Anthony de Colva who is seen standing in Suit in the cover photo
while on left top seen in the cover photo are Songs composer Patrick Dourado
and Osvi Viegas who has composed and
arranged the music.
This DVD is worth seeing because
its contents are good. Comedy performed
by both the comedians Peter de Macazana and Comedian Rumaldo is good, lyrics are
excellent and they all rendered excellently by all the singers supported from
behind the scene by the melodious singer Osvi as “Segundo”. Osvi’s beautiful voice as second brought extra
beauty for all the songs and his voice is partly responsible to give a booster
for this DVD.

Dolla Miranda and Lavina played their roles very beautifully and while singing
they both were graceful especially Lavina who with her attractive looks
captured the minds and hearts of the audience. She showed lot of serenity in her beautiful voice. Tough they both are
not professional Stage artistes yet they proved to be much better than the
professionals. The director also deserved credit for training them well.
Anthony de Colva palyed captains
inning very well in the Skits as well as in songs. He got a very stable voice.
The Musicians also played their
role well.
Though it is a “Zomnivoilo Khell”
played on the ground as per the tradition yet songs lacked the traditional
tunes normally used for such “Khells”.
And without Clarinet as one of the musical instruments, this “Khell”
lacked the normal punch associated with such “Khells’. Clarinet gives beauty to
such "Khells".
It is well depicted with a very
good traditional scene where the beautiful performance performed by all the artistes in a traditional manner.
Kudos to Anthony de Colva, Osvi
Viegas, Patrick Dourado and everyone who participated in this “ZOMNIVOILO
KHELL”.
